Where do Angel customers take a broken device?

Angel has plenty of places to buy a device and very few to fix one. We fill that gap from a single shop on Holloway Road, 2.8 miles from Upper Street and Islington High Street, with the bench work done on site.

Angel sits at the southern end of Islington on the Northern line’s Bank branch, with Angel Central and Chapel Market either side of Upper Street. The 43 and 4 both run north towards Archway.

Angel is on the Bank branch, so there is no direct tube to Archway. The 43 from Islington High Street runs the whole way up Holloway Road to us in one bus.

What is the easiest way to reach us from Angel?

Angel is on the Bank branch of the Northern line, so despite being on the same line as Archway there is no direct train. The 43 from Islington High Street runs the entire way up Holloway Road to us, which is the simplest option from N1. By car it is around twelve minutes for under three miles, and Upper Street traffic is the reason for the gap between those two numbers.

the 4 and 43 link Angel to Archway directly, so there is no interchange. If you are starting from a station, those nearest are Angel (Northern line, Bank branch). Allow about 12 minutes by car, more in traffic.

How should I prepare before coming in?

Before making the trip from Angel, back the device up and write the passcode down. We need to sign in to confirm the fault is actually gone.

If the device has been in water, do not charge it and do not try to power it on. Bring it in as it is. If you are replacing rather than repairing, the ncsc recommends using the device’s own erase all content or factory reset before handing it on.
