Want us to check the part before you travel from Archway?

A line about the device is enough. We will come back on timing and likely cost before you set off.

What is the driving route from Archway?

Leave the Archway gyratory heading south-east on Holloway Road (A1). Number 647 is roughly 300 metres down on the left, just past the Junction Road turning.

Coming from the gyratory you are on the correct side of the road already, so there is no need to turn across traffic.

Set your satnav to N19 5SE, or open the route in Google Maps. One warning before you go: Holloway Road is a red route, so there is nowhere to stop outside.

Can I get here from Archway without a car?

Archway is the shop’s own patch, so there is no journey to plan. The 647 address sits on the Holloway Road side of Navigator Square, a short walk from the station entrance and close enough to the Whittington that hospital staff regularly drop a phone in between shifts. Parking on Holloway Road itself is metered and heavily restricted at peak times, so most Archway customers simply walk.

By rail your options are Archway (Northern line, High Barnet branch) and Upper Holloway (London Overground, Suffragette line). By bus, the 4, 17, 41, 43, 134, 143, 210, 234, 263, 390 and W5 head this way. Check before travelling on TfL.

Where do I leave the car?

Arriving from the gyratory you are already on the correct side, so turn off into the residential streets before you reach us rather than passing the shop and having to loop the one-way system. Everything behind Holloway Road here is Zone P, controlled Monday to Friday until 6.30pm and Saturday morning until 1.30pm. Because you are local, the honest advice is to walk: from Navigator Square it is a few minutes, and it costs nothing. If you do drive, do not pull onto the red lines outside, even briefly. There is no drop-off allowance on a red route and the cameras run all day.

The complete rundown of zone hours, payment, the emissions surcharge and Blue Badge provision sits on our find us page. Live prices come from Islington Council.

No. Holloway Road is a TfL Red Route here, so stopping on the red lines is prohibited at all times and enforced by camera. There is no grace period and no drop-off allowance. Use the side streets behind the main road.

Is there a car park near you?

There is no public car park at Archway, and the Whittington Hospital has no visitor parking. On-street parking in the Zone P side streets is the practical option, or come by bus.

How do I pay for parking?

By phone, using RingGo. Read the location number off the bay sign rather than looking it up beforehand, because the codes are set per bay and vary from street to street along with the maximum stay.
